back in march of 2025 they charged me 1500.00 for a rack and pinion for my truck ,  I took it there for steering being tight and steering wheel not wanting to return after a turn. several months later I called and said this rack has a problem it's still not right. steering wheel still dont wanna return. they said that the coupler and the fitting between the rack and pinion and the steering volume was bad and it was 1100.00 to fix that. fast forward to oct 2026 took it to another shop for popping and noise in front end and they stayed the bushings are bad in the new rack and pinion. thing is they are pressed in and the rack has to be replaced. i call griffis and they said im out of warranty. 30 days labor and 12 months or 12000 miles that i would be charged again to replace it. the problem i have is I paid for rack to be replaced and was doing same thing when I brought it back and was another 1100.00  for additional parts . brian griffis had nerve to ask why i waited this long . i said i brought it back a few months later and you charged me an aditional 1100.00 and thats the last tome ive been to you guys that he got me and got me good and has gotten me several times

this leads me to belive . that my oem rack and pinion were never bad . .

another incident they said my battey was bad is why my truck was hard starting, I paid for a draw down test, battery then they called and said it was starter. i questioned battery and they swore it was bad. i asked for my old battery back and gave them another core battery  i knew was bad and to this day i still have that battery they said was bad and it's been 2 years since and that same battery is now in my boat

another incident they charged to replace sunroof drain tubes on my wife's Cadillac  and it was still leaking and had to take it back as the sunroof frame was leaking and I had to fight the bill for mis diagnosis the first time . I was allready committed with them due to misdiagnosis and the  on the first visit and when I called around they were charging more then the Cadillac dealer

another incident my truck cable broke on my truck door handle and would open only from outside. they tried to say I had to replace the whole door panel and couldn't get the lock rod button and  and the lock mechanism rod  and they couldn't get door panel off without breaking it. and had to but the whole door panel to get the lock rod button. i googled it and an oem one was less then 10 bucks  I said cut the lock rod either pair of side cutters and replace the rod the button and what it takes to make door open from inside again . they said oh no you will never get it off without breaking door panel  they tried charging me about 1800.00 . I went got truck got  door panel off and got all the  oem parts for 180.00  from don mealy right here in clermont and fixed myself . they said I had to pay the 150.00 diagnostic fee since I declined the repair . i said how can you diagnose what's wrong with the door when you got to get the door panel off to see what needs replaced i duckrd it up and paid it

another incident they said txv was bad on wife's car ac system. she still had no air they tried to charge me for diag, freon ect ect to replace a bad ac compressor. I said ive allreadypaif for freon and one diag you need to take that 600 you charged me for txv of compressor bill

another incident I took my daughter's car in for an oil change and I didnt get my 1/2 qt of amsoil oil i provided and they said mechanic threw it away. I said why would he throw away 1/2 wt of amsoil synthetic oil and brian griffis tried blowing smoke up my butt by saying that the container could have been leaking and I said well there were 4 more qt bottles he could have put it in.

amother incident when my transmission went out this spring I had got prices from several shops and griffis tried to mark up the retail price I pay for transmission 2000.00 over retail price when they get it at wholesale cost . i had allready known what cost of transmission was from jasper. that's some shady crap right there

I just had a great experience at this auto shop. Elliot, one of the technicians, helped me put air in my tires. He was polite and extremely helpful. He noticed I was missing a tire cap and gave me one so I wouldn't lose air. I highly recommend you stop by if you have any auto repair needs. .

We were traveling from  out of town and had a tire issue. Griffis Auto got us in and made the repair quickly. 4 other shops in the area would not do the repair and  only wanted to sell us a new tire.

We arrived in Orlando, having limped our SUV into town after overheating on the 600-mile journey down from Raleigh, NC. I had no idea where to go or who to trust with this out-of-town breakdown, so I turned to a combination of Google reviews and Reddit posts and found Griffis, about 10-miles from Universal. Spoke with Tim over the phone, explained the issue and he assured me they'd get to the bottom of it. True to his word, by the end of the week we were able to depart for home as scheduled. Here's the thing: they worked two hours past close -- on a Friday, no less -- to get the work done. THANK YOU so much to Tim and his techs for going above and beyond. If I lived in Orlando, Griffis Automotive Repair would be my shop of choice. Do yourself a favor and bring your car here if you need it looked at. My partner and I have been coming here for the last 3-4 years and have never left dissatisfied. I've had multiple occasions where I need to drop my car off ASAP and they have done their best to accommodate. Really nice folks and reasonable prices.

I can’t say enough good things about Griffis Automotive.  I am always concerned with finding a good honest mechanic when I move to a new location.  We moved to the Lake Como area several months ago and one morning my wife went to leave for work and noticed she had a nail in her tire.  I took it to them and in no time they had it fixed and she was on her way.  Then several weeks later I was driving on Conway and my 24 year old suburban decided to quit on me.  I called them and they said I can have it towed to them and they would take a look.  After looking it over and doing a full inspection they found the issue and repaired it.  They did tell me all the other things that needed to be repaired, which I was expecting because it is worn out.  But, they did not try to upsell me on anything and did not pressure me in any way.
